Q&A for Therapists and Coaches
Tell us a bit about yourself.
Hi, my name is Vesna Tintar, I’m multilingual licenced psychologist and psychotherapist, working with trauma, neurodiversity and grief.
How long did your education and training take — and what did your path to this profession look like?
My journey began in my teenage years, sparked by the discovery of Dostoyevsky, and it continues to this day. In this profession, learning truly is a lifelong process.
How would you describe your general approach when working with people?
My therapeutic approach is warm, holistic, and integrative. I draw from Gestalt therapy, body-oriented methods, and creative experiential techniques to support mind-body awareness, emotional expression, and personal empowerment. Sessions are always tailored to your needs, with an emphasis on building trust, presence, and a sense of safety.
Is there a moment with a client (anonymous, of course) that stayed with you?
I’m always deeply moved by the authenticity of the human experience, and the privilege of witnessing meaningful change in my clients, or simply their courage to stay with their own vulnerability. These moments, whether big or subtle, remind me of the strength it takes to be human and the power of a safe, compassionate therapeutic relationship.
What do you do when you're stressed?
I practise conscious dance, practice kendo, mediate, have meaningful and deep conversations with dear people, socialize.
What's one small habit that makes a big difference in your everyday life?
Changing perspective while walking on familiar paths.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give for a lighter, happier life?
Trust.
What does being part of SupportRoom mean to you?
The community is excellent, as it allows me to work with people from all over the world and support them regardless of physical distance.
And now, just for fun:
– Do people assume you can read their minds? No yet.
– Do friends ask for advice even when you’re off the clock? Yes, of course.
– Have you ever argued with your partner… and later realised they were kind of right? No comment. ☺
